new Keith Knight book!!

Cartoonist/musician Keith Knight has finished his brand new book, The Beginner's Guide to Community-Based Art (with Ellen Forney, another very talented creator) and will soon be available to purchase at his website. According to his newsletter, he describes it as "a great educational tool for anybody interested in using art for social change." In addition, for the next 30 days he has pledged to donate $5 out of every sale of both the new book and What a Long Strange Strip It's Been to Hurricane Katrina relief (he says both books have strong New Orleans connections to him).

In addition, Keef will be promoting Beginner's Guide at the following places:

- September 10: Power to the Peaceful Festival, Speedway Meadow, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco - 11 AM-6PM

- September 16: Art, Activism and the New Hip-Hop Aesthetics @ Cody's, Telegraph Ave. Berkeley - 7:30 PM
